Navigating the Depths of Paediatric Radiology in the Reef
The ANZSPR 2023 ASM brought together a large cohort of Australian and New Zealand paediatric radiologists on an idyllic island in Queensland for a unique exploration of the diverse challenges and latest academic updates in our subspecialty.
Held on Hamilton Island, the conference encapsulated a journey through the depths of paediatric radiology. Together with Dr. Susan Palasis we took a deep dive into multiple topics in neuroradiology. Attendees also immersed themselves in excellent presentations from across the spectrum of paediatric radiology including abdominal and pelvic imaging, interventional radiology, musculoskeletal imaging, cardiac imaging and beyond.
Several sessions included input from other subspecialists including an interactive neuro-oncology MDT review presentation. Between the talks, we enjoyed relaxing conference dinners, fishing, swimming on the beach, and a snorkelling excursion, which provided rich opportunities for networking. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with colleagues, sharing experiences and forging professional relationships against the stunning backdrop of Hamilton Island.
As participants departed Hamilton Island, anticipation was high for our next ASM in 2024 which is being hosted at Cable Beach Resort in Broome.
